Resumen
Se analizó los factores que influyen en la elección de carreras de la facultad de Ingeniería de la UNI 2018 -2019, con la aplicación de instrumentos de recolección de datos primarios encuestas a ochenta y cinco alumnos de ingeniería en informática, civil o electromecánica, entrevistas a docentes y directivo. Atendiendo a la línea de investigación que se enmarca en “la universidad y la producción de conocimiento en el campo de la educación” se ha optado por el enfoque mixto, puesto que como afirma Hernández Sampieri Mendoza (2008),este tipo de investigación recoge y analiza datos cuantitativos como también cualitativos, los integra para realizar inferencias sobre el total de las informaciones recabadas y lograr un mayor acercamiento a la realidad y un mejor entendimiento del fenómeno objeto de estudio. Diseño de Investigación de triangulación concurrente, el tipo de Investigación Diseño de Triangulación Concurrente (DITRIAC). En esta modalidad se “recolectan y analizan datos cualitativos y cuantitativos, generándose una base de datos; La triangulación logrará la convergencia, confirmación y correspondencia, de métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos, y el énfasis es el contraste de ambos tipos de datos e información.” (Hernández Sampieri, Fernández Collado, & Baptista Lucio, Metodología de la investigación, 2010). Permitiendo establecer el prestigio de la UNI – FIUNA resultado del proceso de Acreditación de la ANEAES, que permitió realizar inversiones en lo edilicio, académico y equipamiento de los laboratorios y bibliotecas, aumento en la matriculación , políticas sobre materias de rendimiento crítico, acciones de detección y evaluación de deserciones (las deserciones son temporales y previstas por motivos económicos y/o académicos en el primer y segundo semestre) que se pudo reflejar en el resultado de las encuestas la conformidad de los alumnos , discrepando en las horas de prácticas, resaltando que la elección de la carrera de ingeniería es el resultado de una decisión propia , de importancia el apoyo de los padres que en alto porcentaje son de educación terciaria , no así es determinante, por la decisión y la capacidad de autogestión de los educandos, siendo de relevancia la seguridad del primer empleo, una buena remuneración y el prestigio de la casa de estudio.

Abstract
The factors that influence the career choice of the Engineering Faculty of the UNI 2018-2019 were analyzed, with the application of primary data collection instruments, surveys of eighty-five students of computer science, civil or electromechanical engineering, and interviews with teachers and managers with a mixed approach. Allowing to establish the prestige of the UNI – FIUNA result of the Accreditation process of the ANEAES, which allowed investments in the building, academic and equipment of ecisión ios and libraries. Increase in enrollment, policies on critical performance matters, detection and evaluation of defections (desertions are temporary and planned for economic and / or academic reasons in the first and second semester), that the conformity of the students could be reflected in the result of the surveys, disagreeing in the hours of practice, highlighting that the choice of engineering degree is the result of a decision of their own, of importance the support of parents who in a high percentage are of tertiary education, but this is not decisive, due to the decisión and self-management capacity of the students, the safety of the first job being relevant, a good remuneration and the prestige of the study house.
