Abstract
In the commercial circuit of the city of Encarnación lot of technological waste is handled, including used batteries and cell considered hazardous waste by characteristic components, there is a high environmental risk for current management and disposition thereof. These wastes are not regulated at national or district level, there is no exact data on quantities of batteries entering the city that are sold in the commercial circuit. But the characterization results show significant numbers. Respondents and interviewees expressed know the impact it can cause and if you know you are not aware of any damage to the environment or human health may cause, in spite of this the management of this waste is not adequate, but if the not too far right management plan for handling and disposal of used cell batteries would be most willing to work is implemented.
